Her background in dance, cultural & community expressive arts, and emotional and trauma release work has helped to shape the leadership model she offers through her work.
Narieka is a body based performance artist, facilitator and Yoga instructor. She is dedicated to bringing together contemplative practice, embodied creative expression and critical social and ecological inquiry to address and catalyze healing and social change. Originally from Western Massachusetts, but spending a large part of her childhood in Mexico, Narieka attended Naropa University for two years and received her B.A. from Hampshire College. She received her 200hr Yoga certification from Yoga Veda.
It is our mission to use story, contemplative practice, rhythm & movement to invite community members to authentically express, to deeply listen & to build languages of belonging.
We envision a world where communication is embodied, emotionally intelligent and connective.
Our consulting advisors are teachers and practitioners in the fields of emotional intelligence and embodiment. Their advising helps maintain the project’s integrity.
